Antiques.By is a service that transforms your antiques auction catalogue or any other event flyer or brochure you have in PDF format into an interactive publication that runs like a microsite. This microsite is then hosted under the Antiques.By/ top level domain using your reserved custom web address.

For example, let's say your antiques dealer business is called, "Mondo Antiques". To use our service, you should reserve your custom URL: It's a web address that is easy to remember and is branded to your company name. Share this web address with your audience to further increase awareness of your event.

The entire process, from PDF to interactive publication is quick and easy. Once we receive your payment, we'll send you a request for file (PDF) via Dropbox. Once we receive your PDF file, we'll review it, process it, and upload your microsite to the web address you have reserved during your ordering process. What type of files can we send you?

If you are sending a catalog, brochure, or flyer, all files need to be in an optimized PDF format.

How long do I need to reserve my custom URL?

It's up to you. The first month of hosting is free. The following months of reserving your custom URL and hosting is just $5/month, regardless of the size of your PDF. All prices are in USD. Read more about our pricing.

Will any PDF work to transform into a microsite?

In general, most PDF catalogs, brochures, or flyers should work. However, your PDF should be optimized in Adobe Acrobat Pro, prior to sending it to us. To do this, please, follow the steps below:

  • Open your PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Go to File -> Save as other -> Optimized PDF.
  • Make the PDF compatible with Acrobat 4.0 or later
  • Untick everything but for Images, Fonts, Transparency.
  • Press OK. A new PDF will be created for you.

If the above solution doesn’t work, you can take a different approach and reduce the file size in Adobe Acrobat Pro. Here is what you need to do:

  • Open your PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Go to File -> Save As.
  • Tick the option Reduce File Size.
  • Save your file.

If for some unknown reason we cannot convert your file, we'll return your payment in full. Contact us directly if you have any further questions.

What should I do if I run multiple events at the same time?

If you are running antiques events in parallel, please let us know. We should be able to accommodate multiple microsites hosted in their own sub-folder. We'll explain in more detail once you contact us.

How long it takes for the entire process?

In general it will take 3-5 business days from receiving your order to upload your interactive publication. This timeline is dependent on your timely response in payment and uploading of your PDF file. This is what you can expect:

  • Once you reserve your URL, you should receive a PayPal invoice for your order in 24-48 hours. You can pay by Credit Card, PayPal, or Bank Account.
  • Once we receive your payment, we'll send you a request for file via Dropbox right away.
  • Once we receive your PDF file, we'll review and get to work.
  • It will take us a few days to process the entire PDF file and upload the results to your reserved web address.

As soon as the publication is ready, we'll contact you via email.

Do you design auction catalogs or other publications?

Is there a limit to how many pages I can have in my publication?

Yes, there is. In general, we can accommodate publications in PDF format for around 2,000 pages. If you have a specific requirement that goes beyond this limit please get in touch with us.

Can I take my microsite and host it somewhere else?

Yes, you can. While we'll be sorry to see you losing the advantage of the Antiques.By web address, you own the transformed publication. If you'd like to do so, please get in touch with us. We'll zip all the files and provide you with a location for quick download.
